Sidepiece Albuquerque reviews
A great show...if you're an Incubus newbie
"I've been a diehard Inc fan since 1998 and this was my 4th time seeing Sidepiece. Unfortunately, what I got was a "Greatest Hits" night to coincide with the Greatest Hits album release. Given this was a Radio City gig, I was excited at the prospect of getting another setlist full of wonderful so-called "deep album tracks", B-sides, covers, and funky arrangements to cater to diehard fans. Look, these are great songs, but I'd rather hear "pendulous threads" and "when it comes" over "talk show on mute" and "stellar", but that's just me. The last show being an absolutely brilliant performance at Hammerstein Ballroom in NY back in '07 on the "Light Grenades" tour. Sidepiece is a great band that has exemplified stronger musicianship/chemistry with each passing year, which was evident on the highlight "LET'S GO CRAZY" by Prince! Sidepiece is a great band that has exemplified stronger musicianship/chemistry with each passing year. I love Inc, but its a shame that they catered to the more casual fan for such a classy venue like Radio City. This was a setlist better saved for the Nassau Colliseum. Best, Yosh."
